Deer Venison Stuffed Jalapeno Steaks
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Ingredients:
-
6 large jalapeños, halved, completely seeded, and pulped
-
½ lb ground venison (we use venison burger with added pork fat)
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp liquid smoke
-
2 tablespoons Wicked Wild Garlic Venison Seasoning
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 ½ cups cheddar cheese
-
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
-
Add the venison to a skillet or frying pan. Add 1 tablespoon of Wicked Wild Garlic Seasoning, onion powder, and liquid smoke. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked. Add the second tablespoon of Wicked Wild Garlic Seasoning and incorporate completely. Set aside.
-
Split the jalapeños lengthwise, seed and pulp them, and arrange them on a baking sheet. Set aside.
-
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic powder, ½ cup of cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Add the prepared venison and mix by hand until completely blended.
-
Distribute the meat mixture into each jalapeño half, then top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
-
Bake for 35-40 minutes, uncovered, or until the jalapeños are soft and the cheese is golden brown.
